1. Acceptance of Terms
By making a donation through this website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
2. Nature of Donations
All donations made through this website are voluntary and intended to support the ministries, charitable activities, operations, and programs of Union Church of Manila. Donations are not payments for goods or services and do not create any contractual entitlement on the part of the donor.
3. Authorized Use of Credit Card
By submitting your payment information, you represent and warrant that you are the lawful owner or authorized user of the credit card used; the information provided is accurate and complete; and you authorize Union Church of Manila and its payment processor to charge the donation amount indicated. Fraudulent use of credit cards may be reported to the appropriate Philippine authorities and financial institutions.
4. Payment Processing
All online donations are processed through secure third-party payment service providers compliant with applicable payment security standards. The Church does not store complete credit card information on its servers.
5. Currency
Donations are processed in Philippine Pesos (PHP) for credit cards issued in the Philippines. Donations made using U.S. issued cards are processed in US dollars. Foreign transaction fees may be imposed by the donor's bank or card issuer.
6. Non-Refund Policy
Donations are generally non-refundable once successfully processed. However, refund requests arising from duplicate transactions, unauthorized use of a card, or processing errors may be evaluated on a case-by-case basis upon written request submitted within thirty (30) days from the transaction date.
7. Issuance of Donation Receipts
An electronic acknowledgment or receipt may be issued to the donor through email. Where applicable, official receipts shall be issued in accordance with Philippine laws and regulations, including requirements of the Bureau of Internal Revenue.
8. Data Privacy
The Church respects your privacy and processes personal information in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and other applicable Philippine data privacy regulations. Personal information collected may include name, contact information, billing details, and donation history. Such information shall be used only for legitimate church, administrative, legal, accounting, and donor-relations purposes.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Philippine law, the Church shall not be liable for interruptions in website availability, payment gateway failures, unauthorized access caused by factors beyond reasonable control, or indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the donation platform.
10. Compliance with Philippine Laws
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes arising from online donations shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the proper courts of the Philippines.
11. Amendments
The Church reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Changes shall become effective upon posting on the website.
